Ingredients:
1 jar Ol’ Gringo Gourmet Green Chile Sauce (or 2 if you want to amp up the chile!)
2-2 ½ pounds pork or beef, cubed
4 cups potatoes, cubed
2 cups water or broth
½ cup flour
2 tbs shortening, olive or canola oil
½ tsp garlic powder
1 large onion, diced
2 tsp salt (to taste)
¼ tsp black pepper (to taste)
Directions
Place the meat and flour in a large zip lock bag and shake to coat the meat.
Heat the oil in a heavy skillet. Add the meat and brown. Transfer meat to a 3-quart stew pot.
Leave the oil in the skillet and saute onions, then transfer to the stew pot.
Add remaining ingredients to the stew pot and simmer for 45-60 minutes. Stir occasionally. Add additional water or broth if too thick.
