Ingredients:
- 1 jar Ol’ Gringo Gourmet Green Chile Sauce (or 2 if you want to amp up the chile!)
- 2-2 ½ pounds pork or beef, cubed
- 4 cups potatoes, cubed
- 2 cups water or broth
- ½ cup flour
- 2 tbsp shortening, olive or canola oil
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- 1 large onion, diced
- 2 tsp salt (to taste)
- ¼ tsp black pepper (to taste)
Directions:
- Place the meat and flour in a large zip lock bag and shake to coat the meat.
- Heat the oil in a heavy skillet. Add the meat and brown. Transfer meat to a 3-quart stew pot.
- Leave the oil in the skillet and sauté onions, then transfer to the stew pot.
- Add remaining ingredients to the stew pot and simmer for 45-60 minutes. Stir occasionally. Add additional water or broth if too thick.
